Waukee has been one of the fastest-growing cities in Iowa for a decade, and it shows: whole neighborhoods around Kettlestone and Grand Prairie Parkway didn’t exist ten years ago. New construction is great — until the sprinklers etch hard-water spots into your windows, construction dust settles into fresh vinyl, and the first green shadow shows up on the north side. That’s where we come in.

EverGlow Exteriors handles pressure washing and exterior cleaning across Waukee — house washing, windows, driveways, gutters, roofs and decks. We’re an insured local crew based in the western metro, so Waukee isn’t a “drive out to” job for us. It’s home turf.

Window Cleaning in Waukee — Yes, Including Sprinkler Spots

The number one call from Waukee: “my sprinklers spotted up my windows and Windex won’t touch it.” Iowa well and city water is hard, and when spray hits glass daily all summer, minerals bake on. We remove buildup with a dedicated hard-water process, then clean every pane inside and out, streak-free — builder-grade glass included. Ask about adjusting sprinkler heads so it doesn’t come right back. Details on our window cleaning page.

House Washing That Keeps New Vinyl Looking New

New-build vinyl in Kettlestone still gets dirty — construction dust, pollen film, and the first algae bloom usually shows up on the north wall by year three or four. We soft wash at low pressure with the right detergent, which cleans without forcing water behind siding or voiding manufacturer warranties the way high pressure can. An annual wash keeps a new house looking like the model home. See the house washing page.

Driveway & Concrete Pressure Washing in Waukee

New concrete shows everything: tire marks, fertilizer rust dots, irrigation rust streaks off the lawn, and the gray film that builds after a couple of Iowa winters of salt and freeze-thaw. We surface-clean driveways, sidewalks and patios evenly — no wand stripes — and can seal after cleaning to keep salt out of the pores. Full details on the pressure washing page.

Gutter Cleaning for Waukee Homes

Fewer big trees than Urbandale or Clive, but Waukee gutters still fill with shingle grit from new roofs, wind-blown debris off open farmland, and seed fluff every June. Grit is sneaky — it packs into downspout elbows and backs water up under the drip edge. We clear everything by hand, flush every downspout, and send photos of the finished gutters so you don’t have to climb a ladder to check. See the gutter cleaning page.

Roof Washing in Waukee

Your roof might only be five or ten years old, but algae doesn’t care. Once black streaks start on a north-facing slope, they spread every wet season. Our soft wash treatment kills the algae without a pressure washer ever touching a shingle — important on a newer roof you’d like to keep under warranty for decades. Catch it early and it’s a quick, cheap job. Read more on the roof washing page.

Deck & Patio Washing

Waukee backyards are mostly newer composite decks and stamped-concrete patios — surfaces that need the right technique, not maximum pressure. Composite scratches and stamped concrete loses its sealer under a careless wand. We wash both with controlled pressure and cleaners made for the material, so your outdoor space is ready for the season without damage. Before-and-afters on the deck washing page.

Why “New” Waukee Homes Still Need Washing

Three culprits. First, sprinklers: nearly every Waukee lawn has irrigation, and hard water hitting glass and siding daily leaves mineral spotting that gets harder to remove the longer it sits. Second, wind: Waukee sits on the metro’s western edge, and dust off open ground west of Grand Prairie Parkway settles on everything. Third, biology: algae spores don’t check the build date. The difference between a five-year-old house that looks new and one that looks ten years old is usually just an annual wash.

Waukee FAQ

Can you actually remove sprinkler spots, or just lighten them?

Fresh spotting (this season’s) comes off completely with our hard-water process. Spots that have baked on through several summers can etch into the glass itself — those we can usually improve dramatically, and we’ll tell you honestly on-site if a pane is etched past saving before you spend a dollar.

My house is only three years old. Does it really need washing?

Walk to the north side and look closely at the siding in the shade line. If you see a faint green or gray haze, that’s algae starting, and it’s far cheaper to wash now than after it’s established. If it’s truly still clean, we’ll say so — we quote for free and don’t invent work.

Do you serve Kettlestone and the new neighborhoods off Grand Prairie Parkway?

Yes — Kettlestone, everything along Grand Prairie Parkway, and every Waukee neighborhood old and new, including the original downtown blocks. If Waukee schools serve your address, so do we.

Will high pressure void my siding or roof warranty?

It can — most vinyl siding and shingle manufacturers specifically warn against high-pressure washing. That’s exactly why we soft wash houses and roofs and save the high pressure for concrete. Your builder’s warranty paperwork and our method agree with each other.
